The Ulu knife was designed and used as a muti-purpose knife by First Nation peoples throughout the North in North America. The Grohmann version is the Canadian style Ulu with a central solid brass stem fitted to our "Xtra" handle with stainless steel pins.
The Xtra handle is made from layers of hardwood permeated with resin making the knife more suitable for use in the kitchen where there is lots of moisture, being immersed for washing up, etc. Available with a matching hardwood block or leather sheath.
